This Zines section presents the latest publications co-produced with citizen scientists.

They have been produced as part of the Good Life North Kensington project, a collaboration between citizen scientists, the UCL Citizen Science Academy, Manchester University, and Westway Trust, to explore what a good life means to residents in North Kensington; ​and the Prosperity in east London 2021-2031 Longitudinal Study, a 10-year mixed-methods study tracing the effects of large-scale and long-term urban regeneration on local communities in east London. 

A Tale of Two Sides

Thoughts, images, and findings of Terry, a local resident and citizen social scientist from Custom House, Newham. Terry conducted research on the obstacles to prosperity that local residents in Custom House experience.

Basic Services

Victorine and Regina are local residents and citizen social scientists from Barking & Dagenham. They conducted research on the obstacles to prosperity that local residents in Heath experience.

Changing Barriers

Zeinab (not real name) is a local resident and citizen social scientist from Newham, and Abdul is a long-time resident and citizen social scientist from Coventry Cross. The findings presented here come from an interview and focus group discussion conducted by Abdul, with members of his community, as well as an interview that Zeinab conducted with Abdul on the obstacles to prosperity in Coventry Cross.

Living Authentically

Citizen Scientist Coco John Baptiste explores the success of creative individuals living within the community of North Kensington.
